In order to keep up with demand, Japanese carmakers are working hard to introduce new and better vehicle models in the U.S. market. But Mitsubishi Motors USA is doing the opposite thing.

Mitsubishi introduces a lean vehicle lineup for 2013, and some people might take this as a bad sign. Mitsubishi has stopped offering the Eclipse Coupe, Eclipse Spyder, Endeavor SUV, and Galant sedan–with no sign of new and comparable vehicle models coming in the near future.

The green revolution has caught up with Mitsubishi, and the company says that they will slowly introduce more hybrid and electric vehicles starting in 2013.

The Mitsubishi Outlander SUV will also be sold as a plug-in hybrid, following the release of the restyled and revamped Outlander around summer of next year.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will still be sold until 2013, while a new and lighter Lancer might make it to showrooms by 2015. Mitsubishi is currently toying with the idea of putting a hybrid or electric powertrain on the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Whether this is true still remains to be seen, but the concept of a green rally machine with near supercar levels of performance sounds tempting.

Despite introducing a leaner vehicle lineup for 2013, you might find a good deal with Mitsubishi’s latest offers. You still have until 9/4/2012 to take advantage of these marvelous offers:
